Summary of Requirements
The WABSN curriculum consists of 58 credits of nursing courses that provide you with the advanced knowledge and professional training you need to excel in any area. Our professional courses combine academic lecture and clinical laboratory experience, engaging you in an intense academic study and in hands-on learning that stresses critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal communication with clients and their families. Courses include Introduction to Professional Nursing I and II; Pharmacologic Agents; Professional Practice Concepts; Principles of Health Assessment; Nursing Research; Parent-Child Nursing; Adult Nursing I and II; Family Health Nursing; Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing; Community Health Nursing; Nursing Leadership/Management; and a Nursing Seminar that focuses on professional development. All science and social science prerequisites are completed prior to beginning nursing courses.
